Irrigation Water Management Field Day
The public is invited to attend a free field day workshop on Irrigation Water Management for nursery operations.
The field day is scheduled for Tuesday August 31, 2010 from 9:00am - 11:30am at Green Thumb Nursery, 41-641 Kumuhau Street in Waimanalo.

The workshop will include information on water meters, potting media and water holding capacity, emitter options, nutrient management and tips on designing your irrigation system for optimum pressure and flow.
Presentations will include information on financial assistance available to farmers to install conservation practices. The USDA- Natural Resources Conservation Service offers financial assistance through its Environmental Quality Incentives Program, and the Oahu Resource Conservation and Development Council has grant funds available to farmers operating in the Waimanalo watershed.
